Reinhold Glière

Glière, Reinhold (b Kiev, 11 Jan. 1875, d Moscow, 23 June 1975). Russian composer. He wrote the scores for several ballets, including The Red Poppy (1927), and The Bronze Horseman (1949). His last ballet, Taras Bulba (1952), was never staged.
