Narrated by Ben Kingsley, each installment in the Religions of the World series offers an in-depth investigation into the practices and theology of a major world religion. Through interviews with experts, examination of artifacts, and dramatic reenactments, the major facets of these faiths are brought to light and explicated. In this particular video, the two distinct branches of orthodox Christianity are examined. Viewers will consider how and why the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches split.
