Biography

The daughter of actor Martin Sheen and the sister of actors Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen, Renee Estevez has been appearing on television and in feature films since her 1985 debut in the television movie Babies Having Babies. More telepics followed until Estevez made her first feature-film appearance in the slasher movie Camp Sleepaway II: Unhappy Campers in 1988. Renée Pilar Estevez (born April 2, 1967) is an American actress.

Early years

Estevez was born in New York City, New York, the daughter of artist Janet (née Templeton) and actor Martin Sheen. Her three brothers are also actors: Emilio Estevez, Ramon Estevez, Jr and Charlie Sheen. Her husband, Jason Thomas Federico, is a professional golfer. They have been married since 1997. Estevez is an aunt of Taylor Estevez, Paloma Estevez, Cassandra Estevez (Sheen), Sam Estevez (Sheen), Lola Estevez (Sheen), Max Estevez (Sheen), and Bob Estevez (Sheen). Joe Estevez is her uncle.

Career

Estevez has had secondary roles in films since 1986's Shattered Spirits, including the character Betty Finn in the cult favorite Heathers, and has guest starred on JAG and MacGyver. She may be best known to audiences for her regular guest-starring role on The West Wing. She appeared in 43 episodes of the series as the secretary of President Josiah Bartlet (who is played by her real life father Sheen). She has also had cameo roles in her brothers' and her father's films. She is also known for playing Molly Nagle in the cult favorite "Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers."
