Add more RAM. Reset Safari. Repair Permissions.

It may be overheating. Give it a good cleaning. Also repair permissions on your Mac.

Most of the time you need to repair the permissions to get it to work.

Go to Disk Utility in the Applications/ Utility'sfolder and click on repair Disk Permissions and wait 10 to 15 minutes for it to finish then restart and see if that helps.

If not then go to Apple's support site and look for your model or OS version and you should find the discussions very helpful.
