Repossessed is an album by Kris Kristofferson, release on Mercury Records in 1986 (see 1986 in music). It was Kristofferson's first full-length solo album since 1981's To the Bone, although the singer did collaborate with other artists in the meantime, most notably on Highwayman with Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. As is the case with many of his releases, the majority of the tracks refer to themes such as politics, war and love. "They Killed Him", a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr., Mohandas Gandhi and Jesus, managed to reach the country charts and was covered by Bob Dylan on Knocked Out Loaded later that same year. "This Old Road" was re-recorded for Kristofferson's 2006 release of the same name. "El Gavilan (The Hawk)" was covered by Marianne Faithfull in the 1985 movie Trouble in Mind.
