Reverse Telnet

AnswerNote: Reverse Telnet

Reverse or Direct Telnet allows a remote computer to initiate a Telnet session with one of its users. Whereas a Telnet session is usually initiated by a user, who logs in to a remote system in order to access its resources, in Reverse Telnet, the process is reversed and it is the host computer that initiates a session with a remote computer. This process is often used by systems administrators who need to configure remote computers and may sometimes be used by support personnel.
