Revithia (Gk. Ρεβυθια) is a Greek dish consisting of chickpeas baked with onions in a quantity of olive oil and flavoured with bay leaf and rosemary. Traditionally, the pot is taken to be cooked over-night in the local bakery (φουρνος) oven. Eaten throughout the winter months, Revithia is a good Lenten food. [1]
