Users of the Revival Soy diet plan follow Weight 101, a weight loss plan based on using Revival Soy bars or shakes to replace one or two meals each day. In addition, the plan encourages decreased fat intake, increased use of fruits and vegetables, drinking more water and exercise three or four times per week. Scientific studies show that soy protein can help decrease body fat and increase lean body mass; soy protein can also help decrease risk of cardiovascular disease. Soy contains phytochemicals called isoflavones, which act like natural estrogens within the body. Therefore, a dieter with a history of estrogen receptor positive breast tumors, for example, or one who is taking tamoxifen, should minimize consumption of these kinds of products.

Revival Soy was developed by Dr. Aaron Tabor after research he did showed that Asian women suffer far fewer symptoms of menopause than do Western women. Since soy is a basic of the Asian diet that Western women eat in far lesser amounts, he worked on developing soy products that would taste good and be beneficial especially to women going through menopause.
