Biography

American cinematographer Renaldo Villalobos has amassed an impressive list of credits since his A-picture bow in 1980's Urban Cowboy. Villalobos successfully whisked backed to the garish, oversaturated colors of the 1960s in Coupe de Ville (1990). He effortlessly sustained visual dynamics in the standard sitcom material that made up Carl Reiner's Sibling Rivalry (1991). And he proved the ideal cinematic conduit for the personal visions of actor/director Edward James Olmos (American Me [1992]) and Robert DeNiro (A Bronx Tale [1993]). Other notable credits in the career of Renaldo Villalobos include Blame It on Rio (1984), Desert Bloom (1986), The Running Man (1987), Major League (1988), and Denial (1991). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
