Rhonwen

 

[Welsh rhon, pike, lance, figuratively: tall, slender; (g)wen, fair]

Welsh name ascribed to the daughter of Hengist, the semi-legendary 5th-century Saxon invader of Britain. Geoffrey of Monmouth (12th cent.) substituted the name Rowena.
