Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi (ریاض احمدگوھرشاہی) (‎25 November, 194125 November, 2001) was a Pakistani author, spiritual leader and founder of the spiritual movement Anjuman Serfroshan-e-Islam. He was born in the Indian sub-continent, in a small village of Gohar Shah in the district of Rawalpindi.

Shahi wrote many books on the topic of spiritualism, including his most well-known, The Religion of God. Shahi's teachings have been condemned by Muslim religious leaders and the Pakistani government. Shahi was booked in 1997 on alleged charges of murdering a woman who had come to him for spiritual treatment; Shahi and many of his followers were later convicted under Islamic blasphemy laws. Shahi was convicted in absentia—as he had previously fled to England—resulting in sentences that totaled approximately 59 years. Shahi died abroad prior to any decision on appeals filed with the High Court of Sindh.
