Biography

Ric Stewart has been collecting and studying music since the age of 5. He began programming radio in 1986 at WAIF (Cincinnati) with a show called "It's a Mod, Mod, Mod World" later continuing to dj at KALX (Berkeley) 1987-91 with a roots rock show under the moniker Rusty "Ice House" Grunion, following this with an on-air stint in New Orleans from 1991-94 at WTUL as Lorenzo Sao DuBois spinning Jazz, thematic and progressive shows.

In addition to audio production and radio work Mr. Stewart has completed a dozen short films (comedy, experimental, Western, psychedelic, blaxploitation genres) several of these have appeared in festivals. Mr. Stewart has written for the Cal Spectrum, Tulane Hullabaloo (papers); Electronic Musician, Mix and New Media (magazines); Rockvillage.com, Toyota.com and Citysearch7.com (websites). In 1995 he started There Productions, a music web production company featuring a free resource center containing interviews, concerts, reviews and features on Roots, Rock and Reggae music and musicians located at www.there1.com. Currently, he consults on New Media audio projects, develops music programming for television and radio outlets and is hard at work creating a first-of-its-kind mixed media music collectors manual.
