Dr. Richard F. Post is an American physicist who has done work in nuclear fusion, magnetic levitation and magnetic bearing design and plasma physics, and winner of the James Clerk Maxwell Prize in Plasma Physics[1] and who holds patents in the fields of nuclear fusion, particle accelerators, and electronic and mechanical energy storage.
His notable work includes inductrack[2][3][4] and magnetically levitated flywheels.[5]
Post is the father of actress Markie Post.
