Richard Freeman (1933 – June 29, 2009) was a world champion American bridge player holding the title of World Grand Master[1]. He won the Bermuda Bowl world team championship and won many national championships. Freeman was inducted into the American Contract Bridge League's Hall of Fame in 2001.[2] At the time of his death he held 17,880 masterpoints.

In 1993 he was a founding member of the Nick Nickell team where he played until his death as Nickell's professional partner. He died in Atlanta.[3]
