Richard Lenginour

English military engineer. He was involved in the building of Flint and Rhuddlan Castles (1277–c.1282), but his greatest works were the Castle and fortifications at Conway, Wales. He carried out major building operations at Chester Castle (1290–1312), and probably designed the choir of Chester Cathedral (c.1305–15). He was an important figure in the creation and upkeep of the military architecture of Edward I (reigned 1274–1307).
