Riverdale Center is an outdoor mall with retail and dining options. It opened in 2002 and has over 75 stores. It is in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, located just off of Minnesota State Highway 10. Stores such as JCPenney's, Sears, Kohl's, and Lowes anchor here. Riverdale also has many dining choices. Riverdale has had much discussion rather if it is one of the last "Dale" shopping centers such as Southdale Center, Brookdale Center, Rosedale Center, and Ridgedale Center. This would be the fifth shopping center owned by the Dayton family, but the Dayton family later spoke out and talked how Riverdale Center is not owned by them and never will be. Riverdale Center is an outdoor shopping mall and how the Dayton family has never owned an outdoor shopping mall. Riverdale Center is still open today and has renovated and added on to it many times.
