Roar is a programme broadcast on CBBC, in the UK, for children. It is presented by Rani Price and Matthew Skilton.

Format
It is about the animals and keepers at Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks. It is similar to anther BBC series, Animal Park, filmed at Longleat Safari Park.

There is also a Roar game on the CBBC website. In every Roar broadcast they give you a passcode to unlock a treat or animal for their game.

Series 1
The first series of Roar aired from 4 September 2006 and finished airing on 3 November 2006. This series was presented by Alex Dolan and Matthew Skilton and featured daily visits to all sections of the parks. Also available is Roar: The Game. After this series finished, due to the success, CBBC commissioned a spinoff called Roar: Furry Facts.
Roar: Furry Facts
CBBC commissioned this series due to the success of series 1. It is a 3-minute show and contains facts about animals featured on the show. This is basically most of the furry facts featured in the main show. They did not commission a new series with Series 2. The show is voiced over by Alex Dolan or Matthew Skilton.
Series 2
The second series started on 24 September 2007 on CBBC on BBC Two. It airs every morning until November and the new presenting team of Rani Price and Matthew Skilton was introduced. It continued in the same format as Series 1. Due to the popularity of this series CBBC has commissioned Roar – Reversions, lasting half an hour.
Roar – Reversions
Rarni Price and Matthew Skilton with stories from Howletts and Port Lympne wild animal parks. This series aired from April 2008 and finished airing its 20 episodes in August 2008. In this series it contains the best moments of Roar from series 1 and 2. It is presented by Rani Price and Matthew Skilton.
Series 3
This series was filmed back-to-back with series 4. Matthew Skilton and Rani Price returned to present the new series of 25 episodes. They began airing on 17 November 2008 and continued until 19 December 2008.
Series 4
Rani Price and Matthew Skilton returned with a new series of Roar in 2009. It was very similar to series 3 and also has 25 episodes. They began airing on 23rd February 2009 and finished airing on 27th March 2009.
