Rob Ellis is a DJ from Preston, United Kingdom.
He presents Capital Manchester's breakfast show . The Rob Ellis Show is one of Manchester's most listened to radio shows and broadcast's each morning between 6am and 10am. Rob works alongside his small team which consists of Stand Up Alex, Wingman and Rachel 'Text on Legs'.
Wayne Rooney is a fan of the show and has been quoted as saying he listens on his way to training for Manchester United.
Ellis worked as a DJ in Preston, before starting his radio career in 1996 as a producer for shows on Red Rose 999 before progressing to their flagship FM station Rock FM. He later moved onto Manchester's Key 103 to present the station's evening show.
In 2006 Ellis joined Galaxy Manchester, within the first year he was moved to the station's Drive Time show where he was joined by his co-presenter Wingman. He continued when the station re-branded as Capital Manchester
In 2008 the Rob Ellis show team were nominated for the Sony Radio Awards 'Rising Star' award (won by George Lamb), alongside Kelly Osbourne and others.[1]
