He began his analyst career at Dataquest, before helping to launch GiGa Information Group. After GiGa was acquired by Forrester Research, he worked at Forrester [2] until leaving to found his own firm, the Enderle Group.
Enderle covers a wide array of technology companies and related industry topics.[3] He is frequently contacted by the media for his opinion on breaking news and other happenings in the technology realm [4], and reputable industry sources value his opinion on companies in the technology space.[5]
Currently Enderle writes a number of columns for TechNewsWorld, TG Daily, Digital Trends, Dark Reading and IT Business Edge and appears regularly on WSJ Radio, CNBC, NPR and Bloomberg Radio/TV.[6] He sits on several advisory councils, including those for the Trusted Computing Group,[7] Lenovo, Toshiba, AMD, HP, Dell, and the Lifeboat Foundation.[8] He shares a technology blog at Technology Pundits.

Criticism
Enderle is criticized by informed technology watchers because of his consistent errors of fact and poor record on predictions.[9]
He often cites urban legends (such as Apple "stealing" the GUI from Xerox PARC) as fact.[10][11] In 2006, he told O'Reilly Media that Apple does not use non-disclosure agreements[12], when in fact Apple uses them pervasively, including recipients of its OS previews[13].
Enderle has worked as an advisor for Microsoft[14], Dell, and Toshiba[citation needed], among others.
