Rob Fleming (born November 11, 1971 in Windsor, Ontario) is a Canadian politician. Fleming was elected the British Columbia New Democratic Party MLA for the district of Victoria-Hillside in the 2005 British Columbia general election, defeating incumbent British Columbia Liberal Party MLA Sheila Orr. He was re-elected on May 12, 2009 in renamed constituency of Victoria-Swan Lake with over 60% of the vote.
Fleming currently serves as chair of the BC legislature's Public Accounts Committee.
Fleming was first elected to the city council of Victoria in 1999 and re-elected in 2002. As a CRD Director and Vice-Chair of the Capital Regional District Housing Corporation, Fleming helped create the region's first Affordable Housing Trust Fund to reduce homelessness and create affordable family housing. In 1998-99, as president of the University of Victoria Students' Society ("UVSS") he was instrumental in bringing in a Universal Bus Pass for all Capital Regional District post-secondary students.
Fleming has a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Victoria.
