Biography

Between the early 1960s and 1985, American producer Robert Chartoff and his partner Irwin Winkler produced commercially successful films such as They Shoot Horses Don't They (1969) and The Right Stuff (1983). Robert Chartoff (born August 26, 1933) is a Academy Award-winning film producer. His most notable works include The Right Stuff (1983), and the Rocky movies, which he co-produced with Irwin Winkler. He has an adopted daughter named Miranda. He also has an adult daughter named Julie.

Chartoff established the RC Charitable Foundation in 1990 to award grants to international schools and other child agencies. He continues to serve as its President. The RC Charitable Foundation gives less than $100,000 per year. Several grants awarded to the Buddha Educational Trust.
