Biography

Actor Robert Costanzo is generally typecast an urban Italian-American, prone to mouthing such lines as "You gotta problem with that?" Costanzo began popping up with regularity in such films as Saturday Night Fever in the late '70s. The first of his many TV-series stints was as plumber Vincent Pizo, the blue-collar father of Travolta clone Joe Piza (Paul Regina), in 1978's Joe and Valerie. He retained his man-of-the-people veneer as maintenance engineer Hank Sabatino in the weekly series Checking In (1980), Lt. V.T. Krantz in the 1990 TVer Glory Days, and the voice of Detective Bullock in Warner Bros.' Batman: The Animated Series (1992). In 1995, Robert Costanzo joined the cast of television's NYPD Blue as Detective Giardella. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Robert Costanzo
Born Brooklyn, New York

Robert Costanzo is an American actor. He has an acting career spanning over thirty years and is often found playing surly New York types such as crooks or low level workers and mixes both drama and comedy roles.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, he is the son of actor Carmine Constanzo.[1]

His first role seems to be in the 1975 movie Dog Day Afternoon playing a cop, although that was an uncredited part. This was followed by a role as a paint store customer in the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever. Other movie roles include Die Hard 2, Dick Tracy, Total Recall and City Slickers. His television appearances are varied, with him appearing in Boston Legal, Hannah Montana, Days of our Lives, and numerous other series. He also starred as Commissioner Stenchler in the Sega CD game Sewer Shark.

He is also a cartoon voice actor and has done voices on shows including The Fairly Oddparents, The Zeta Project, House of Mouse, Duckman and Bonkers, among others. He also did the voice of Detective Harvey Bullock on Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures and Static Shock, as well as in the theatrical release Mask of the Phantasm, and the video releases Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero, and Mystery of the Batwoman.
