Robert Kendall Lazarsfeld (born April 15, 1953) is an American mathematician, the Raymond L Wilder Collegiate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Michigan.[1] He is the son of sociologist Paul Lazarsfeld. His research focuses on algebraic geometry.
Lazarsfeld went to Harvard for Undergrad and earned his doctorate from Brown University in 1980, under supervision of William Fulton.[2]
In 2006 Lazarsfeld was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.[3]
