Robert Townsend (born September 13, 1943 in Santa Clara, California) is a former swimmer from the United States, who competed at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo. He won the gold medal in the men's 4x200m Freestyle Relay event at the 1963 Pan American Games.
