Robin Young (born Robin Cardwell Youngs) is an American television and radio personality. She has been a Boston, Massachusetts-based radio and televsion host since the mid-1970s when she hosted Evening Magazine for WBZ-TV.
She currently hosts Public Radio International's daily news magazine Here and Now which is produced at WBUR in Boston. The show normally consists of five interview segments with reporters, politicians, artists, authors, and experts on a given subject. It airs from noon to 1 p.m. on WBUR and is distributed by Public Radio International. As an interviewer and host on Here and Now, Young takes particular interest in issues involving engineering, public infrastructure, and family and young adult mental health.
She's been a correspondent for ABC, NBC, CBS and the Discovery Channel and she has won both the Peabody and CableACE Awards for documentary film making and five Emmy Awards for excellence in broadcasting.
Her brother is actor John Savage.
