The content of this 18-minute documentary is summed up by its title. The film is an expert encapsulation of the recent 15-round bout between Sugar Ray Robinson and Carmen Basilio. Though the fight had been seen in selected theaters via closed-circuit television, fans preferred the filmed version, which was technically superior. Cutting to the chase, as it were, the film concentrates only on those rounds with the most action. Within one day after its release by United Artists, The Robinson-Basilio Fight was booked simultaneously by 7000 theaters -- even though only 850 prints were available. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
