rocket jump

A test of jumping ability that reflects the dynamic concentric work produced mainly by the ankle, knee, and hip extensors. The jump is initiated from a static position with no counter movement. The subject assumes a crouched position with the trunk vertical and, hands on hips, jumps vertically upwards using only the legs for propulsion.
