Rocky Mountain Airways

Rocky Mountain Airways (IATA: JC, ICAO: RMA, Call sign: Rocky Mountain) was an American commuter airline headquartered in Hangar No. 6 of Stapleton International Airport in Denver, Colorado.^[1] It was sold to Texas Air Corporation/Continental Airlines in 1986.^{[citation needed]}

The airline flew from Denver's Stapleton International Airport to a variety of destinations in Colorado. The airline operated out of the old commuter part of Concourse A at Stapleton.^{[citation needed]}

The airline was founded as Vail Airlines in 1963 by Gordon Autry.^{[citation needed]}

The original major aircraft of the fleet was the de Havilland Canada Twin Otter. The first airplane was delivered to Rocky Mountain Airways on February 3, 1978. RMA became the launch customer for de Havilland Canada's Dash 7-102.^[2]
