Rod Shoate (April 25, 1953 – October 4, 1999) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League. He was a 4 time All-Big 8 Conference Player and three time All-American at the University of Oklahoma. He played seven seasons in the NFL for the New England Patriots and then played in the United States Football League for the New Jersey Generals and the Memphis Showboats.
He died in 1999 of an extended illness.
