Biography

Roderick Jaynes is the editing pseudonym of filmmakers Joel Coen and Ethan Coen. Jaynes is one of the few "fictional" people ever nominated for an Academy Award, alongside Robert Rich (the false name used by blacklisted Dalton Trumbo on The Brave One) and Donald Kaufman (the fictional twin brother of Adaptation scribe Charlie Kaufman). Jaynes also wrote the forward to the published scripts for the Coen brothers' films Miller's Crossing and Barton Fink. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, All Movie Guide
