Roger Ikor
Ikor, Roger (1912-86). Journalist and novelist, best known for his novel cycles. Les Fils d'Avrom (including Les Eaux mêlées, 1955, Prix Goncourt) recounts the gradual acclimatization of a Jewish family in France over three generations. After the suicide of his son, painfully described in Je porte plainte (1981), he campaigned against the influence of quasi-religious sects over young people.
