Biography

Rolf Zehtbauer has been the head production designer of Bavaria Film Studios since 1970. In that capacity, he has worked with several great directors and has been behind a number of internationally and nationally acclaimed feature films. Zehtbauer's many awards include an Oscar for Best Individual Artistic Achievement for Cabaret (1972) which made him the first German to win an Academy award since Emil Jannings won it in 1929. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
