Roman Catholic Military Ordinariate of Australia
The Roman Catholic Military Ordinariate of Australia is responsible for Roman Catholic ministry to the Australian Defence Force and is attached to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney while being immediately subject to the Holy See.

OPERATION TESTAMENT - World Youth Day 2008
The Military Ordinariate of Australia is heavily involved in OPERATION TESTAMENT - the Australian Defence Force's commitment to World Youth Day, Sydney 2008.
As part of the World Youth Day program, the Military Ordinariate of Australia is responsible for:
- hosting the Journey of the World Youth Day Cross and Icon of Mary at the following bases:
- Kokoda Barracks, Canungra (Monday, 20 August 2007)
- Russell Offices and the Royal Military College, Duntroon (Tuesday, 26 February 2008)
- Army Recruit Training Centre, Kapooka, Wagga Wagga (Date to be announced)
- Garden Island Naval Base, Woolloomooloo, Sydney (Easter Monday, 24 March 2008)
- HMAS Albatross / HMAS Creswell (Sunday, 30 March 2008)
- ANZAC DAY COMMEMORATIONS - Melbourne (Thursday, 24 April 2008 and Friday, 25 April 2008)
- hosting 1000 Australian and International Catholic Pilgrims for a week-long retreat in Canberra as part of the Days in the Military Diocese program.
- hosting 1000 Australian and International Catholic Pilgrims for a week of festivities in Sydney as part of World Youth Day 2008, climaxing in the celebration of the Eucharist with Pope Benedict XVI on 20 July 2008.
