Ron Christopher Stone (born July 20, 1971 in Boston, Massachusetts) is a former professional American football guard and tackle who played 13 seasons in the National Football League from 1993 to 2005. He was a part of the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl XXVIII and Super Bowl XXX winning team and was selected to three Pro Bowls. Stone is currently the offensive line coach for California prep power Valley Christian High School of San Jose.

Early years

He played football at Boston College University where he started two years as a defensive tackle before switching to play the right tackle position.

Professional career

Dallas Cowboys

Stone was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the 1993 NFL Draft and was converted to play as an offensive guard.

He played on 2 Super Bowl teams with the Cowboys.

Although he was a talented player and the top offensive line backup, he couldn't start ahead of the team's offensive guards that included: Nate Newton, Larry Allen, Kevin Gogan and Derek Kennard.

New York Giants

In 1996 the NY Giants signed Stone as an unrestricted free agent, when the Cowboys couldn´t match an offer that would pay him, more than any of the Cowboy starter in the offensive line except for Erik Williams.

He spent 6 seasons with the Giants where he made 2 Pro Bowl appearances.

San Francisco 49ers

He also made a Pro Bowl appearance with the San Francisco 49ers where he spent 2 more seasons.

Oakland Raiders

Stone finished his career playing his final 2 seasons with the Oakland Raiders.
