Biography

Room 5 was another electronic concoction from Belgium-based producer Vito Lucente, who'd most previously worked as Junior Jack. For Room 5, he followed in the dancefloor footsteps of Daft Punk and Felix da Housecat with a formula of light but relentlessly funky beats backing soulful, exuberant vocal tracks. The single "Make Luv" appeared in summer 2003, and quickly made the rounds at Ibiza and on all the comps. Centered around the mid-'80s Oliver Cheatham hit "Get Down Saturday Night," "Make Luv"'s inescapable bounce built solid buzz for Lucente's new project. With the equally unstoppable follow-up single "Music & You" sustaining that chatter, Room 5 prepared to drop the full-length Music & You: The Album in March 2004. ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide
