Rory Albanese (born 29 May 1977), a Long Island, New York native, is an executive producer and writer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, which he joined in 1999. Albanese is also an accomplished stand-up comedian.[1] His family is of Albanian origin who had migrated into Italy during the Ottoman Invasion.

In the summer of 2006 he joined Lewis Black's "Red White and Screwed" tour performing with Lewis all over the country. Most recently, Albanese has been seen performing with Daily Show correspondents John Oliver and Wyatt Cenac, as well as headlining his own shows at clubs and colleges throughout the country.
He is the voice of 'The American' on The Bugle podcast.
Albanese's first half-hour comedy special premiered April 2, 2010 on Comedy Central.[2]
Albanese graduated from Boston University's College of Communication in 1999.[3]
Was arrested on September 27, 2010 for misdemeanor assault involving a 9/11 conspiracy theorist outside of a venue at which Jon Stewart was appearing.[4]
