  1. Any of several shrubs of the genus Rhododendron, especially R. maximum of the southeast United States, having large glossy leaves and flowers with a rose-pink, bell-shaped corolla with green spots. Also called great laurel.
  2. See oleander.
  3. Chiefly British. The willow herb.
