MacGibbon, Ross (b Bromley, 29 Jan. 1955). British dancer and film-maker. He danced with the Royal Ballet from 1973 to 1986, since when he has become an award-winning dance film-maker whose work is regularly seen on British television. His film of MacMillan's last ballet, The Judas Tree, won the 1998 International Emmy Award for Performing Arts. His other films include a BBC2 documentary about the Royal Opera House; Call Me Madam, a celebration of Ninette de Valois's centenary in 1998; and Matthew Hart's ballet Peter and the Wolf, broadcast on BBC1 in 1997. A director of Landseer Films, an independent television production company.
