After the breakup of their former band, My Cousin Ray, Nick, Treebo, and Kerry parted ways to pursue individual interests. But the three men are back together once more. Five demos cut at the bitter end of their former bands existence would soon attract the attention of a small, independent New Jersey label. After some discussion, the three were convinced to begin practicing together once again with the goal of making a 5 song EP for this independent label. They have now started a new band called Hollywood Reckless.
Shortly thereafter the search began for new another guitarist. Based on the recommendation of friends, Tim was soon added to the band in January 2004. What ensued after his addition was 20 straight days practicing, followed by one hectic week of recording, yielding the band's first five song EP entitled Best Friends Our Worst Enemies. The EP debuted in May 2004, and with the addition of Frank Rosania and the bands second guitarist the band quickly gained notoriety in NJ. After a multitude of shows, one east coast our, and a number of Midwestern treks, Frank decided to leave Royden to pursue other interests in March 2005.
He was soon replaced with the bands current guitarist Justin Sherwood. Soon after his addition to the band, Royden left to tour the Northeast and Midwestern sections of the U.S in the summer of 2005. By the close of the summer of 2005, Royden had attracted the attention of California indie label Hopeless/Subcity Records. After receiving an offer, the band signed on to the label in the fall of 2005.
After being on the 2006 Warped Tour,[1] Royden is currently writing their Hopeless Records debut that will be released 10/23/2007 according to their MySpace page.------To update, Royden is now currently NOT a band anymore. We will be playing our final show in Dover, New Jersey in October.
