"Rub You the Right Way" is the title of a number-one R&B single by Johnny Gill. The hit song spent one week in May of 1990 at number-one on the US R&B chart, and made the top-five (#3) on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in August of that year. This was Gill's first single upon the breakup of New Edition and his biggest hit to date.
The song appeared in popular videogame Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, playing on fictional New Jack Swing radio station CSR 103.9.
