Rudolf Maros

(b Stachy, 19 Jan 1917). Hungarian composer. He studied with Kodály at the Budapest Academy (1939-42), where he began teaching in 1949. His music developed from a diatonic, folk-influenced style to 12-note serialism in 1959, many works using Bartókian arch form.
