Ruifang (瑞芳鎮; POJ: Sūi-hong, Tongyong Pinyin: Rueifang) is an urban township in eastern Taipei County in north Taiwan (ROC). In 2009 the entire county is due to become a city in its own right: a special municipality called New Taipei. [1].
Mining was an important industry in Ruifang in the early 20th century. Gold was mined in Jiufen (九份) and Jinguashi (金瓜石) while coal was mined in Houtong (猴硐). The mining sites became popular tourist destinations after 1990.

Transportation
Ruifang is served by the Yilan Line Railroad of Taiwan Railway Administration. There are three stations in Ruifang Township: Ruifang, Houtong, and Sandiaoling.
Provincial Highway No. 62 passes Ruifen and will provide convenient connection to Keelung City when it is completed.
