Russell Paul Carpenter, ASC (born December 9, 1950) is an Academy Award-winning American cinematographer. He is most widely known for his collaborations with director James Cameron.
Carpenter was born in Van Nuys, California, a grandson of a film sound engineer.[1] An alum of Van Nuys High School, he is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC).
