Ryūzaburō Ōtomo (大友 龍三郎 Ōtomo Ryūzaburō?, born May 18, 1952) is a Japanese seiyū and actor from Tokyo. He is currently affiliated with Aoni Production as of December 2006, and was formerly affiliated with 81 Produce and the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society. He stands at 186 centimeters (6'1") and his blood type is A.

He is best known for the roles in Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!! (as Doctor Ōgami), Digimon Adventure (as Myotismon), Mahōjin Guru Guru (as the second voice of Lord Giri), Dragon Ball Z (as Dabura), Mirai Sentai Timeranger (as Don Dornelo) and One Piece (as Sir Crocodile).

Overview

Ōtomo possesses a low voice and shrill laugh, and so often voices characters who are either calm, violent, treacherous, or sneaky. Examples including the sorcerer Lord Giri in Mahōjin Guru Guru and Jūsan Saejima in Brave Police J-Decker. He took over the ongoing roles of seiyūs Shigezō Sasaoka and Eiji Kanie after their deaths. In addition, he took over for Shinji Nakae as the narrator of variety show Hey! Spring of Trivia as of May 12, 2007. A number of his foreign film-dubbing roles are occupied by Tesshō Genda in different editions of those films.
