Ó hAodha, Séamus (1886-1967), poet and playwright. Born in Cork and educated there by the Christian Brothers and in UCC, he taught until 1923, when he became a primary-school inspector. His collections include Uaigneas (1928), Caoineadh na Mná agus Dánta Eile (1939), and Ceann an Bhóthair (1966). Donnchadh Ruadh (1939), a play about the poet Donncha Rua Mac Conmara was produced in the Abbey Theatre.
