The S3 is a regional railway line of the S-Bahn Zürich on the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), Zürich transportation network, and is one of the network's lines connecting the cantons of Zürich and Aargau.
It runs from the northeast of the canton of Zürich from Wetzikon and heads for Dietikon respectively Aarau, stopping by Zürich Stadelhofen and Zürich Hauptbahnhof. The line travels between Dietikon and Aarau every hour.
The train frequency is usually 30 minutes and the trip takes 55 (Dietikon) respectively minutes 84 (Aarau). All services are operated with Re 450 class trains.
