Saleem Iqbal Shervani (born 22 March 1953) is an Indian politician for the Badayun (Lok Sabha Constituency) in Uttar Pradesh. He is ex Health Minister and ex Minister for External Affairs of India during the government of IK Gujral.
Salim Sherwani, was originally a Congressman who left the party to join the Samajwadi Party in the wake of the Babri Masjid demolition, returned to the Indian National Congress on in 2009. His return to Congress, a party that his family has been associated with since the freedom struggle comes after the Samajwadi Party denied him a ticket from Badayun in Uttar Pradesh.
He is originally from the city of Allahabad. He is the owner of Neoli Sugar factory and president of Krishi Inter College.
