Plot

This film throws light on the plight of Indian society through the life Ismail, a pious and patriotic railway station-master. Assertive and adamant, Ismail plays the role of a devoted husband, son, and father. His second wife, Razia, the mother of four of his children, is always discontented. His eldest daughter, Amina, is a victim of a difficult life situation. His eldest son, Najib, manifests the frustrations of a typical Indian youth.
