Review

This first release of singer/percussionist Otto was awarded by APCA as the best album of 1998. Former member of Mundo Livre S/A, a band which appeared with Chico Science's Nação Zumbi, Otto brings for his album some drum'n'bass electronics blended with Northeastern folklore. More of a lyricist than a musician, Otto criticizes the technology that produces loneliness ("TV a Cabo") and inscribes the bossa nova in his chaotic discourse ("Bob"). His melodies, simple and catchy, are the ideal vehicle for unpretentious entertainment. ~ Alvaro Neder, All Music Guide
