Samosir Island is in the crater lake Lake Toba on Sumatra, Indonesia. Their equatorial latitude normally makes them very warm year-round, but their altitude (3000 feet) reduces the temperature compared to the areas around the crater. The average minimum temperature is about 23 to 24°C (73 to 75°F) and the average maximum temperature is 31 to 33° (88 to 91°F).
